Diptych by photographers Pinkey and Sheila Hagler. The diptych is an intriguing artistic concept that reflects the work of two artists. The first of the two artists is given a 15in by 22 in sheet of 140-pound pressed paper. The canvas area can be allocated by the artists in any way they wish. The canvas is received by the second artist with the first artist's work covered except for a small representative area. The canvas is then completed and then the entire work revealed. The twenty sets of artists that were chosen for this First Night Mobile project were paired by their similar style. The result can be viewed at the Mobile Museum of Art Downtown during the month of February. The exhibit is entitled "Optical Duets: An Exhibition of Orbs and Diptychs."
